The inventive Dunoon Burgh Hall team want everyone who has ever been involved in the Burgh Hall to take part in a Postcard Project: Everyone is an Artist.
This will be a group show at in Dunoon Burgh Hall.
Anyone who been involved with the Hall is invited to contribute an A6 postcard with an original artwork on it – to be exhibited in the show and to be sold for £15 as part of the Burgh Hal’s Christmas Exhibition programme to raise funds for the building.
All postcards submitted will be accepted, although there is a maximum number of 6 entries per person.
The reason why each artwork must be signed on the back and not the front is that the artwork is anonymous – visitors to the Burgh Hall will be encouraged to buy work without knowing who the artist is until after it has been purchased.
There could be a valuable hidden gem, or just a beautiful, thought provoking piece of work that you will cherish for ever.
Work can be submitted in any medium as long as it is wall mountable – painting, drawing, original print, textile, photograph, doodle etc.
Work is welcome from artists, photographers, textile designers, filmmakers, cartoonists, illustrators and from children – but, please, not from animals.
- Artworks must be on A6 size only – 105mm x 148 mm.
- Work must be signed on the back, NOT the front – and with contact details if the artist wants any post-event information.
- Entries must be received at the Hall by Monday 18 th November.

The Exhibition of unique, original and remarkable work will be on display from 21th November – 7th December, Thursday-Saturday, from 12pm-3pm.
There is a Private Viewing on Wednesday 20th November, from 6pm-7.30pm. Anyone who has submitted a postcard is eligible and invited to be there.
Christmas pantomime at the Burgh Hall
The Burgh Hall has now confirmed that Hopscotch Theatre Company will be bringing their pantomime, Cinderella, to the Hall for two daytime performances on Saturday 7th December – a fun family day out.
The performances will be at 12noon and 3pm; with the show lasting 55 minutes.
Tickets will cost £6 for adults and £4 for children.
